For an expanding family, this Kedron cottage was restricting lifestyle and needed a thoughtful addition to the rear of the property.  Aaron from GreenCoast Building Design was engaged to collaborate with the owners and Duayne through our PAC process.  The result is a modern architectural solution that takes advantage of north light open space and a Queensland family lifestyle.

A mixture of materials was used in the extension with polished concrete, perfectly selected brick, ply, and James Hardie cladding.  The extension included a new hallway with the Laundry, Mud Room, and Home Hub tucked away that then led into a large space to include a new Courtyard, Kitchen, Dining and Casual room that overlooks the new deck and backyard.  The new upper level included a Master Bedroom retreat including a WIR and Ensuite.  All existing areas at the front of the house were thoughtfully refurbished that still kept some of the existing character.
